Associate Vice President of Auxiliary Services Honored with National Association of College Auxiliary Services Award
Eddie Mills, associate vice president of Auxiliary Services, earned the Regional Mentor Award from the National Association of College Auxiliary Services (NACAS) South.
Headquartered in Charlottesville, Va., NACAS is the largest auxiliary and ancillary services support organization serving higher education. Regional Mentor Awards recognize a member in each region who has shown initiative in welcoming newcomers and promoting and encouraging involvement of members at the regional and national level.
Mills was nominated for the following attributes:
- Dedication to mentoring first-time participants
- Service to the CASP certification as a subject matter expert
- Willingness to provide insight and support to colleagues
- Volunteer leadership service to NACAS
“Eddie always asked, ‘Is it good for the members?’ and made sure that discussions centered on how best to meet new member needs,” said a nominator.
Another nominator said, “Eddie demonstrated excellent communication skills and a positive attitude even when exhausted during the 2011 NACAS Annual Conference.”
A Georgia Southern University alumni and employee since 2010, Mills is a Certified Auxiliary Services Professional (CASP) and past president of NACAS South.
