Door Access

Students, faculty/staff and campus community members with a Georgia Southern credential may be granted electronic building/rooms access through their Eagle Card, Eagle Card Mobile ID, or Departmental ID Badge.

Students may receive electronic access for a maximum of one year per request. If access is needed longer then a new request will need to be submitted to extend their access the following year.

Cards may be swiped or tapped on certain locks to gain access to different areas. Eagle Card Mobile ID will only work on applicable locks and access points. Please call or visit our office for information on if your location’s locks will work with your Eagle Card Mobile ID.

PLEASE NOTE THAT IF A CARDHOLDER REPLACES THEIR PHYSICAL EAGLE CARD, THEY WILL NEED TO NOTIFY THE FACILITIES SERVICES ACCESS CONTROLS DEPARTMENT TO HAVE IT UPDATED/ACTIVATED IN THE SYSTEM BEFORE THE NEW CARD WILL WORK.

Access Cards for Grads, Students and others

If you need an access card for a door or building that currently does not support the Eagle Card Mobile ID,

Step 1: Notifiy your supervisor/professor/department admin that you need an access card to get into a specific area of your building that does not support

Step 2: Your supervisor/professor/department admin should fill out our access form: Access Card Request Form

Step 3: Once we receive the information, we’ll create the Access Cards then distribute those to the requestor.

Step 4: Students can pick up their Access Card from the supervisor/professor/department admin.
