Midnight Breakfast Kicks Off Finals Week
STATESBORO, Ga. – Eagle Dining Services (EDS), a division of Auxiliary Services, will open the doors of Dining Commons and Lakeside Dining Commons at 11:59 p.m. on Sunday, May 3 to host the Midnight Breakfast buffet. The breakfast is a biannual event to support students preparing for finals.
Midnight Breakfast celebrates the end of the semester and encourages late-night study sessions for students during finals week. The breakfast will take place from 11:59 p.m. to 2 a.m. on Sunday, May 3 to Wednesday, May 5 featuring breakfast items such as waffles, omelets, biscuits and more.
Special guest appearances at the Midnight Breakfast include President Brooks A. Keel, Ph.D. and First Lady Dr. Tammie Schalue.
Dining Commons and Lakeside features more than 10 serving stations and tables suited for students to bring textbooks and study materials. Additional amenities include campus Wi-Fi, charging outlets and lounge seating to assist in study efforts.
“Midnight Breakfast represents the essence of tradition here at Georgia Southern,” said Assistant Manager of Dining Commons Emily Arrington. “We look forward to providing an atmosphere for Eagle Nation to come together to enjoy good food while studying for exams.”
Midnight Breakfast is held at the end of every fall and spring semester and marks the beginning of finals week. Students, faculty and staff are all invited to attend. Residential dining facilities will maintain normal hours of operation in addition to the event hours of Midnight Breakfast.
