Frequently Asked Questions

Do you accept insurance?

Yes. The Health Services Pharmacy accepts most major prescription insurance plans. We offer discounted rates on most medications for those that are not covered by an insurance plan.

How do I transfer my prescriptions?

To transfer your prescriptions to our on-campus Pharmacy, give us a call at (912) 478-5780. We will contact your outside pharmacy to transfer any remaining refills you may have.

How do I get my prescription if I leave campus?

If you will not be on campus for a specific time (e.g., holiday break, semester, etc.), some prescriptions can be filled for longer periods of time depending on your insurance plan or provider approval. We can also transfer your prescription to any other pharmacy if necessary. We are here to serve you and remain open throughout the year (closed for most major holidays).

How do I request a prescription refill?

In order to serve you more efficiently, if you require a refill on a medication prescribed for you by one of our providers, please contact the pharmacy where you filled the script to initiate the refill request electronically; or, you may send your provider a secure message in your Online Student Health portal to request the refill.  Health Services providers do not accept telephoned refill requests.
