Bio – Jeffrey B. Yawn

Quick Bio: Jeff Yawn has been the Executive Director of Eagle Dining Services at Georgia Southern University for 8 years and a part of the Eagle Dining Services family for 10 years. He also currently serves as secretary/treasurer of the NACUFS (National Association of College and University Food Services) Southern region board. A Statesboro native, Jeff’s passion for hospitality service was ingrained in him long before his tenure at the university. His father owned and operated the beloved Snooky’s restaurant for over forty years, and Jeff himself was owner of another local restaurant, Archibald’s, for over five years. Under Jeff’s leadership, EDS has experienced tremendous growth and transformation. Dining plan participation has grown significantly and gross revenue has increased by $20 million. Jeff facilitated the renovation and construction of the residential dining facilities and was instrumental in the development of several new on-campus retail dining locations. In keeping with the EDS mission, his commitment to quality food and excellent customer service has not waivered even during this period of extensive growth. He is credited with bringing more skilled, experienced and knowledgeable professionals on staff.
