Dining Commons will Bring a Havana Night to Campus!

Eagle Dining Services is excited to kick off Spring Semester with a dining event that will be one for the record books! Dining Commons will host Havana Nights, a Cuban-cultural event on Wednesday, Feb. 8 from 5 p.m. until.

Dining Commons’ Executive Chef, Jerry Bradley, wanted to bring the Cuban-culture to Georgia Southern and to give attendees the luxury of learning all about Cuban cuisine, history and everyday life. “While the importance of this event is to execute a high-quality menu for attendees, I also wanted to incorporate an element that is just as important, which is to educate students on what life in Cuba is really like and some of it’s history,” said Bradley. The creatively-designed menu will consist of traditional Cuban dishes such as Caldo Gallego, Patacones, and Empanada’s, along with original dishes including Cuban Pizza, Chipotle Lime Salmon, and much more! Attendees will also be served Tres Leches, non-alcoholic Rum Cake and many more delicious desserts which include espresso, a popular after-dinner delicacy preferred by the Cuban-culture.

Come immerse yourself in the Cuban culture and enjoy delicious foods all while seeing the way of life during a Havana Night! Eagle Dining Plan holders have all-access to the event under their dining plan. The cost for Eaglexpress is $12, and for those wishing to use credit, debit, or cash, the cost is $15 plus tax.
