Lakeside Set to Host Annual Thanksgiving Lunch

Lakeside will proudly host the annual Thanksgiving Lunch feast again for you and your Georgia Southern family on Thursday, November 16, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. In preparation for the event, Lakeside will be closed the morning of the event and open their doors at 11 a.m. inviting everyone in for the feast.
This amazing chance to sit and focus on friends and family will be crafted by Lakeside Executive Chef, Clay Culpepper who said, “What’s really special about this event is the overwhelming sense of community exhibited. This is the day of the year where we see the most students, faculty and staff all enjoying a meal together” he continued, “I can’t think of any other event we do here at Lakeside that better exemplifies the EDS mission statement of ‘providing those we serve with excellent food and exceptional customer service, while providing a sense of community for all.’ This event is probably the one we most look forward to each year.” The menu includes Oven Roasted Turkey with Gravy, Maple Dijon Glazed Ham and Herb Crusted Prime Rib with Au Jus, and that’s just the main course. There will also be broccoli casserole, creamed corn, cranberry sauce, brown sugar and cinnamon glazed baby carrots, sweet potato casserole, smoked gouda macaroni and cheese and so much more! To end this fantastic meal, an assortment of desserts will be offered. Eagle Dining Services looks forward to seeing you there and joining you in giving thanks, this year.
Eagle Dining welcomes all students, faculty and staff to attend this Thanksgiving Lunch feast. Eagle Dining Plan holders have all-access to the event under their dining plan. The cost for Eaglexpress is $12, and for those wishing to use credit, debit, or cash, the cost is $15 + tax.
