Dining Commons Hosts Night at the Oscars Event in February

Eagle Dining Services will host their first Night at the Oscars event beginning at 5 p.m. on Wednesday, February 28th, 2018. The event will be held at Dining Commons and will be an evening filled with all of our favorite Hollywood classics, and will serve as a tribute to the glamorous awards show complete with an Academy Award worthy menu. The menu will feature items such as Ribeye Steaks, Beef Wellington, Kimchi Ribeye Tacos, Loaded Nacho Fries, Mango Shrimp with Avocado Chipotle Aioli and much more.

Chef Jerry Bradley, Dining Commons Executive Chef, is looking forward to this event in particular since it is the first time Eagle Dining has held an Oscars themed event. “I’ve always wanted to do an event that mirrors the Oscars Governors Ball, which is the big after party after the Oscars catered by Chef Wolfgang Puck.  I have always been a fan of his and he has done this ball for a long time. It’s a very high-end party.  Here at the Dining Commons I always put a lot into these events, but for this particular one, I’m taking it to the next level.  Eagle Dining Services is working hard to prepare each station with an awesome theme, finalizing all decorations and perfecting the menu choices.

Eagle Dining welcomes all students, faculty, staff and visitors to attend the Night at the Oscars event. Eagle Dining Plan holders have all-access to the event and the cost for Eaglexpress is $12. For those wishing to use credit, debit, or cash, the cost is $15 + tax.  Dining Commons will be closed from 2 p.m. – 5 p.m.  to prepare for the event, but Lakeside Dining Commons will be open to accommodate everyone during that time.
