Brian M. DeLoach, M.D.
Medical Director and Staff Physician
A Statesboro native, Dr. DeLoach is a board-certified Family Medicine physician with significant private group practice and hospital practice experience. Before joining Georgia Southern University Student Health Services in 2008, Dr. DeLoach practiced for five years at Bohler Family Practice in nearby Brooklet, GA. He retains privileges at East Georgia Regional Medical Center (EGRMC) hospital in Statesboro, where his past roles have included Chairman of the Family Practice Department and member of the EGRMC Board of Trustees. Dr. DeLoach has a special interest in infectious disease and disaster response, and he is a past member of the Board of Directors of the Bulloch County Red Cross Chapter, where he served as chair of the Disaster Services Committee. In addition to these responsibilities, he also volunteers his clinical services at the Hearts and Hands Clinic, and he is an active member of the Georgia Academy of Family Physicians. Dr. DeLoach received his Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Georgia, in Athens, GA and his Doctorate of Medicine from the Medical College of Georgia, in Augusta, GA, and he is a graduate of the Medical College of Georgia Family Medicine Residency program, where he received the Bristol-Myers-Squibb Award for Outstanding Family Medicine Resident. He has a special interest in emerging infectious diseases and preventative health maintenance.
