Returning & Transfer Students

On-campus housing will be available for Upper-class and transfer students for the 2024-2025 academic year. Students wanting to live on-campus must complete the housing application for 2024-2025 and will be able to select their own room in spring 2024. An email with room selection instructions will be sent to your campus email at a later date.

Upper-class housing on the Armstrong Campus will be in Compass Point for the 2024-2025 academic year.  Upper-class housing on the Statesboro Campus will be in Freedom’s Landing and will be limited in quantity. Instructions for room selection will be emailed to students in the spring.

On-line applications began on November 1.  Room selection will be in the spring.

Armstrong Housing Renewal

Upperclass students will be able to select their own room in Compass Point.

  • Windward Commons is eligible for renewal by special request as it is a community intended for incoming first-year students based upon requests to the University Housing office.
  • Rooms designated for our themed housing communities or for special assignment related processes are not available to self-select into. If you do not see your room available during the renewal periods it means that it is not available for self-selection or that someone has already selected the space.
  • You will not have to pay the non-refundable application fee.

Statesboro Housing Renewal

Upperclass students will be able to select a room in Freedom’s Landing on the Statesboro Campus. There is a possibility that RA roommate rooms will open in other residence halls later in the spring semester.

Transfer Application Process

Armstrong Campus
Transfer Housing is available at the Armstrong Campus in Compass Point. You will be able to select your room at the during the spring 2024 semester.
Statesboro Campus
Transfer Housing will be extremely limited on the Statesboro Campus but will be located in Freedom’s Landing. You will be able to select you room during the spring 2024 semester.

Step 1

Go to the My Georgia Southern portal to complete your housing application.

Pay the non-refundable $150 application fee.

Returning students who who have already paid the application fee do not have to pay again.

Step 2

In the application be sure to select your room preferences or your room.

Once approved, sign your housing contract and book a time slot to move in.
