Eagle Dining Services

Food Service Associate

  • Prepares fresh food items
  • Stocks inventory
  • Provides customer service functions such as greeting customers and operating cash registers to complete cash and credit transactions
  • Keeps kitchen and dining room areas clean and neat
  • Works with various kitchen equipment
  • Empties trash cans
  • Fills condiment dispensers
  • Vacuums as needed

Shift Specifics: Up to 25 hours per week.
$8.00 – $9.00 per hour

University Housing

Resident Advisor
The Resident Advisor (R.A.) will educate community members regarding their rights and responsibilities as members of a floor, hall, and campus community. Resident Advisors contribute to the establishment of community expectations for acceptable behavior within the community including quiet hours, cleanliness, respect, and involvement. They also assist community members with resolving conflicts appropriately. They must facilitate regular floor/community meetings to provide information and revisit community norms and standards. Resident Advisors will participate in regular duty rotation during the week, weekend, and holidays. The R.A. must maintain a regular presence on the floor and in the community and participate regularly in building programs, events, and Hall Council, and occasionally participating in campus programs, campus-wide events – Open House, Accepted Students Day, Homecoming, Hall Olympics, Spring Weekend, and Week of Welcome. 

Proposed Salary

  • RAs receive a salary compensation package. This may be awarded in the way of a credit towards the housing cost, or monetary bi-weekly payment, agreed upon at the time of accepting the position (pending approval through University Payroll). 
  • Academic year (July/Aug to May) – RA salary compensation is $6,800 per year ($3,400 per semester).

Desk Assistant

Responsibilities:

  • Performs clerical and administrative services
  • Monitors facility and reports misconduct
  • Signs in resident visitors
  • Checks equipment in/out
  • Assists on-call staff in the event of an emergency
  • Serves as a resource to residents in regards to campus services and Housing policies
  • Reports violations of University and Housing policies

Shift specifics:  

  • 20 – 25 hours per week
  • Some scheduled evening and weekend work required

Proposed Salary: $7.25 – $8.00 per hour

Auxiliary Services Distribution Center

Warehouse Associate
Loads and unloads delivery trucks / Stocks and shelves products / Pulls orders placed by campus departments / Makes deliveries to campus / Performs general maintenance duties

Eagle Card Services

Responsibilities:

  • Create Eagle Cards
  • Create parking permits
  • Complete basic cashiering duties using both cash registers and online systems
  • Provide support to staff
  • Greet visitors
  • Answer telephone calls on a multi-line system
  • Complete basic administrative duties, such as scanning, copying, and filing

  • Up to 25 hours per week
  • 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., Monday – Friday

Auxiliary Services Marketing

Content Creation Assistant

Responsibilities:

  • Researches industry-related topics
  • Prepares well-structured drafts using digital publishing platforms
  • Creates and distribute marketing copy to advertise the company and products
  • Edits and proofread written pieces before publication
  • Promotes content on social networks and monitor engagement
  • Identifies customers’ needs and recommend new topics
  • Coordinates with marketing and design teams to illustrate articles
  • Updates websites
  • 20 – 25 hours per week
  • Knowledgeable of social media platforms, and Adobe Creative Suite such as Illustrator, Premiere, or comparable programs

Parking and Transportation

Traffic Control – Parking Services Monitor
The Student Assistant works at Parking-Traffic Control on the Armstrong Campus as a Parking Services Monitor.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform related duties as assigned to support the mission of the University
  • Patrol designated area of campus on foot or in vehicle to enforce parking regulations; answer calls and complaints involving parking violations
  • Request permission to boot or tow vehicles that are illegally parked 
  • Write and issue parking citations
  • Instruct the public in proper use of parking facilities
  • Observe parking and traffic conditions, taking appropriate actions to assist when needed
  • Use equipment unique to position such as two-way radio and hand-held computer to issue citations
  • Upload and download citation information from hand-held device and parking system
  • Perform various parking maintenance work such as layout, paint and erect signs for temporary, permanent, or special event parking
  • Maintain, program repair electronic gate systems
  • Create and issue special parking permits at the request of the supervisor for events held on campus
  • Run report on unidentified vehicles that have received citations
  • Maintain, repair and clean tools, equipment and work areas

Printing and Postal Services

Printing & Postal Assistant

  • Provides customer service to faculty, staff, residential students, and the community
  • Performs clerical tasks
  • Scans packages in and out for students
  • Uses a multi-line phone system to answer and transfer telephone calls
  • Delivers packages
  • Prints documents and posters
  • Operates binding and laminating machine
  • Calculates postal and print charges for customers

Shift Specifics: Up to 25 hours per week; flexible with class schedule.
