Road Closure, Transit Detour for Upcoming Event
On Thursday March 24, an event will be held on Georgia Ave between Dining Commons and Centennial Place. This portion of Georgia Ave will be closed to all traffic throughout the event.
Beginning at 4pm and ending by 10pm of the date(s) above, no traffic will be permitted onto Georgia Ave from the Georgia Ave & Chandler Road traffic light. This includes transit buses, university vehicles, vendors, and contractors. Emergency vehicles will coordinate with Public Safety.
Departments with vendors who normally access Georgia Ave during these times should make proper arrangements.
Transit: Blue Route will detour onto Chandler Road towards Plant Drive and travel on Forest Drive to service the Bookstore Stop. A 5-minute delay in service is expected.
