Auxiliary Weather Advisory – Jan 28th

Due to inclement weather, several Auxiliary Services units will be closed beginning noon and 1 p.m. Tuesday, January 28, and will remain closed through Wednesday, January 29. As conditions improve and the University reopens, so will all Auxiliary Service units. Please read the following outlining specific closure details.

 
Eagle Dining Services
 
Excluding Dining Commons, all Eagle Dining Services locations will be closed beginning noon and 1 p.m. Tuesday, January 28, and will remain closed through Wednesday, January 29. 

To ensure the safety of our patrons and staff, Dining Commons will close tonight, Tuesday, January 28, at 8 p.m. Dining Commons will reopen tomorrow, Wednesday, January 29, at 11 a.m. and close at 8 p.m.  During this time, service at Dining Commons will be based on available staff and power. As always, Eagle Dining Services will do its best to provide the highest quality service to its patrons.

Health Services
 
Health Services will be closed from noon to 5 p.m. Tuesday, January 28, and closed 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday, January 29.  Unless otherwise notified, Health Services will plan to resume normal operating hours Thursday, January 30.
 
Any student patients with appointments scheduled during these times should contact Health Services to reschedule.  Students can also reschedule using Online Student Health.  Any refill requests and other messages not attended to by noon Tuesday will be addressed when Health Services reopens.
 
Students who become sick or injured when Health Services is closed may choose to seek medical treatment at a local urgent or immediate care center or the East Georgia Regional Medical Center Emergency Room, all of which are located a short distance from Georgia Southern University. All expenses related to emergency and other care when Health Services is closed are the responsibility of the student.  If students are dealing with a medical emergency they should contact 911 (9-911 on campus). For other health problems or issues we recommend that students contact the Health Service After Hour Nurse Response Line by calling the main Health Service number, (912) 478-5641.  For more information, visit the Health Services website at auxiliary.georgiasouthern.edu/healthservices.
 
Parking & Transportation

 
Parking and Transportation’s office will close at noon and bus routes close at 1 p.m. Tuesday, January 28, and will remain closed through Wednesday, January 29. Please note bus routes and transportation systems will not be available to students from Tuesday afternoon throughout Wednesday. As conditions improve, Parking and Transportation will resume routes.
 
Computer Store, Eagle Eye Care, Eagle Printing & Postal Services and University Store
 
Beginning noon Tuesday, January 28 through Wednesday, January 29, Auxiliary Services’ shops will be closed. As conditions improve and the University reopens, so will Computer Store, Eagle Eye Care, Eagle Print & Postal Services and University Store.
