White Out Social Media Contest

STATESBORO, Ga., Jan. 30, 2015 – The University Store launches a social media contest for students to have the chance to win a $50 gift card to the University Store. The contest is designed to promote True Blue spirit as the Men’s and Women’s basketball teams face-off with rival Georgia State University on Thursday, Feb. 3 at Hanner Fieldhouse.

The contest begins Monday, Feb. 2 through February 5, 2015. Prior to tip-off the social media winners will be announced via the University Store Instagram and Twitter pages.

Here’s how it works:

Take a photo or short video clip (1 min. max) in Georgia Southern apparel and fan gear.

  1. Share the photo or video using the hashtag #SouthernNOTState and tag @GSUSTORE on one of the following sites: Twitter and Instagram.
  2. University Store and Auxiliary Services Marketing Managers will judge the entries.
  3. Winner of the gift card will be announced February 5, 2015 before tip-off via social media.

The University Store is open Monday through Thursday from 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m., Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tech Corner is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. If you have questions or considering a purchase, please visit and or call 912-478-5181.
