About Us

Georgia Southern University Health Services mission is to meet or exceed the student patients full range of needs and expectations that relate to the delivery of health care services — medical, counseling, educational, and wellness – while providing them with cost-effective, high quality care in an efficient manner with a focus on educating students on how to be knowledgeable healthcare consumers.

Emergency Care

For medical emergencies, contact the Bulloch County Emergency Medical Service (EMS), regardless of the time of day or night. Dial 9-911 if using a campus telephone or 911 if using an off-campus telephone.  GSU Public Safety may also be contacted at (912) 478-5234 in case of emergencies.

After Hours

Students who become sick or injured when the Health Center is closed, may seek medical treatment at the East Georgia Regional Medical Center Emergency Room (directions) or other local after-hours clinics, each of which are  located a short distance from Georgia Southern University. All expenses related to emergency and after hours care are the responsibility of the student. Students are encouraged to carry their health insurance card at all times. If students are dealing with a medical emergency they should contact 911 (9-911 on campus).

When the Health Center is closed, students can speak with a nurse about a medical condition that concerns them by calling 1-855-779-7185.
