Lakeside Dining Commons to host Wild West event Oct. 11
Update: Due to Hurricane Michael and Georgia Southern University’s closure on Oc. 10-11, this event has been rescheduled for Oct. 18.
Y’all grab your cowboy hats, and come on out for the first ever Wild West event at Lakeside Dining Commons on Thursday, Oct. 18!
Get your rodeo-favorites like flame grilled ribeye steak, hickory smoked beef short ribs, loaded cowboy taters and buckin’ bison pizza.
“I grew up watching old Westerns with my dad and grandpa, so I’ve always had an affinity for the Wild West,” said Lakeside Executive Chef Clay Culpepper. “As far as the menu goes, we like to do some different things that our guests may not see every day. I really wanted to incorporate menu items that I could envision being cooked over a campfire out on the wild frontier.”
Following the success of the recent Deadliest Catch event at Dining Commons, Wild West is sure to be a memorable experience for all who attend.
This event is free to Dining Plan holders on any Georgia Southern campus. The event price for those using EagleXpress is $12, and for those wishing to use credit, debit or cash, the cost is $15+ tax. Lakeside Dining Commons will be closed 2-5 p.m. in preparation for the event. Dining Commons will remain open during this time.
