What is EAGLEXPRESS?
EAGLEXPRESS is a stored value account attached to the EagleCard. Students, Faculty and Staff can deposit funds into an account and use their EagleCard to make purchases on or off campus. When a purchase is made, the amount of the transaction is automatically deducted from the account balance.
Who can have EAGLEXPRESS?
Any student can get EAGLEXPRESS, even those with a Contract Dining Plan. The EAGLEXPRESS account is also available for faculty and staff.
How do I activate EAGLEXPRESS?
Your account is activated when the initial deposit is made, and deposits can be made as often as needed.
Where can I make deposits?
Eaglexpress deposits can be made at many different locations: the EagleCard Office in the Dining Commons, at the Kiosk in Dining Commons, Lakeside, and through our website. Deposits can be made with cash, money orders, checks, Mastercard, or Visa. Deposits can also be made on-line through your eAccount or by mobile by downloading the Blackboard eAccounts app for Android or iOS.
Is this like a banking system?
No, it is not a banking system and cash cannot be withdrawn from the account. Refunds will only be issued once someone is leaving Georgia Southern (graduating, transferring, withdrawing, etc.), and will be issued by check at the end of the last semester they are here. This request will be accepted in writing only.
Where can I use EAGLEXPRESS?
EAGLEXPRESS cannot be used to pay tuition or class charges, or dining plans of any kind.
EAGLEXPRESS is accepted at all campus restaurants, stores, snack bars, The Print Shop, and can even be used to pay Parking, Health Services, and make copies in the library. Off-campus retailers are also included. See the Vendor List for a full list of off-campus retailers.
EAGLEXPRESS cannot be used to purchase alcoholic beverages, tobacco or tattoos.
Can my parents make deposits?
Yes, using VISA, MASTERCARD, AMEX, JCB or DISCOVER. To make a deposit go to the eAccounts login page and select “Make a guest deposit”. Parents will be required to know their student’s EagleID Number. Parents can also make deposits for students by mailing check or money order to:Georgia Southern University

How do I get my EagleCard
As an incoming student you will get your EagleCard at SOAR. You must be an admitted student to Georgia Southern University and have an assigned an Eagle ID number. You will be required to produce a government issued photo ID (Current driver’s license, passport, state ID card or military ID are some examples) as part of the process.
What do I do if I lose my EagleCard
Login to your eAccount, and select “Card Services” then click “Deactivate Card”. You may also call the Eagle Card Center at (912) 478-5311 (M-F 8am-5pm). Once deactivated your card will no longer work for Dining plans or EAGLEEXPRESS. If you are living in a Residence hall, you will also need to report the lost card to University Housing.
Do EAGLEEXPRESS funds expire?
No, funds deposited into your EAGLEXPRESS account never expire.
What happens to my EAGLEXPRESS funds when I graduate from Georgia Southern?
If you separate from Georgia Southern for any reason (i.e. graduate, transfer) you can request a refund and a check will be mailed to your permanent address.
Do you charge an overdraft fee?
You cannot overdraft your EAGLEXPRESS account, if your funds are insufficient to complete a transaction, the transaction will be declined.
Do you have a spouse card?
Spouses of employees (and students) may obtain a spouse card, this card can be used to add dining plans. Employee and spouse are required to visit the Eagle Card Center and provide proof of identity and marriage certificate. Fee is $10 for magnetic stripe card and $20 for proximity card.
How much is a replacement EagleCard?
If you live on campus the replacement fee for an EagleCard is $40 we use a special card stock called a proximity card. The proximity card is required for all residence halls for access to common rooms, perimeter doors, laundry rooms the function is dependent on which hall you reside. All students living in campus housing MUST get the proximity card.
A student living off campus the replacement fee for a new EagleCard is $20.
If you are getting a replacement EagleCard for an old, worn or damaged EagleCard turn in your old EagleCard and receive up to a 50% discount on your new EagleCard.
