First Year Live On Requirement – Exemptions
Any undergraduate student new to Georgia Southern University with less than 30 earned credit hours is required to live on campus for an entire academic year. This requirement includes students accepted by the Office of Admissions as a first-time, full-time student (12 credits per semester) or a transfer student.
Please note that a temporary exemption extension for the Statesboro Campus has been enacted for the Fall 2020 semester allowing students to live up to 50 miles away from campus with their parent/guardian.
