Summer Guest Services Staff

University Housing is looking to recruit for three positions for Summer 2024. Positions will be posted on the Student Employment job openings board later in the Spring Semester.

Guest Services Assistant ($10 per hour)

Serves as the front-line customer service student staff member responsible for camps/conference housing, including any preparatory work for the host buildings, greeting guests, check-outs, and customer service during the guest’s stay. The guest services assistant (GSA) will also provide 24-hour coverage at the Guest Services desk. This position will require nights, weekends, and holiday hours.   Please note that summer housing is not provided as part of this position.

Guest Services Key Manager ($10.25 per hour)

Preference will be given to applicants who have worked in University Housing as a student staff member.

Serves as the student staff member solely responsible for distributing, auditing, and assigning keys for University Housing Guest Services summer camp/conference operations. Supervised by the Guest Services leadership team, Key Managers (KM) are student employees responsible for all key and temporary access card security measures and distribution for camps and conferences. The KMs will also provide 24-hour coverage at the Guest Services desk. This position will require nights, weekends, and holiday hours.   Please note that summer housing is not provided as part of this position.

Guest Services Manager ($10.50 per hour – Internship)

This position is for any student looking for an internship as a part of their degree in Management. Preference will be given to applicants with previous experience in areas of hospitality, marketing, and customer service.

Guest Services Managers (GSM) are the primary logistics coordinators of all the guest services assistants for the summer camps and conference operations. Manages guest services assistant schedules and staffing of check-in/check-out events, conducts residence hall inspections, performs general administrative tasks, communicates with university partners, and provides 24-hour coverage at the Guest Services desk. This position will require nights, weekends, and holiday hours. Please note that summer housing is included as part of this position.
