Prospective Students

Apply for Housing:

Select Your Campus

University Housing provides on-campus housing for new freshmen, transfer students and graduate students in addition to students continuing after their first year on-campus. Please select your student type for information specific to your status.

The Department of University Housing has an application process that is completed entirely online. By navigating through the online application, you will be able to learn a bit more about what residence hall living has to offer and why you should choose to live in one of our residence halls.

After you have been accepted to Georgia Southern, you can apply for On-Campus Housing. In order to complete the application, you must have your Eagle ID and your initial password which will be sent to you via the email address on file with Admissions. Check out our Apply page to get started.

First Year Live on Requirement

All first year students and transfer students with less than 30 credit hours are required to live in on-campus housing.  For more information about the First Year Requirement, including how to request an exemption, please go to FYLOR.

Residential Communities at Georgia Southern

A top priority for our students is to ensure they are successful in their transition to college. Research shows us that students who reside in Living Learning Communities and Theme Living Communities are provided more opportunities for interaction with faculty outside of the classroom, receive greater academic support opportunities, cultivate a greater connection to the University, and have a stronger  sense of belonging within a community. All these factors ultimately lead to greater success as a student.  Learn More
