Citations and Appeals
Paying Citations
Payment for or appealing a citation is done through the Parking and Transportation Permit & Citation Web Portal.
You may also access the web portal via MyGS under Parking and Transporation > Parking Permits & Citations. Once logged into the web portal, you will be able to view your permit information, contact information, registered vehicles, and any outstanding balances.
Tickets are valid at the time of issuance & viewable online within 24 hours. Any tickets not online after 24 hours remain valid; notify our office of issues.
Appeals must be made within seven (7) calendar days from the date the ticket was issued. The ticket is to be appealed by the person to whom it was issued or to whom the permit displayed was issued. Appeals are only available to accounts/vehicles registered through our department.
Please contact or visit the Parking & Transportation office concerning access to appeal.
Appeals
Students and staff must appeal a parking citation by accessing their MyGeorgiaSouthern portal and selecting the Parking Permits & Citations link.
Appeals must be made to the Parking & Transportation Office within seven (7) calendar days after ticketing. After seven (7) calendar days, the right to appeal is forfeited.
If appeals are not granted by Parking & Transportation, they may be submitted to the Parking & Transportation Appeals Committee. The committee’s findings are final. When an appeal is denied, the citation to which it pertains becomes due and payable.
