Purchasing a Permit

To purchase online, log in to the Parking & Transportation Web Portal. You may also access the web portal via MyGS under Parking and Transportation > Parking Permits & Citations. Students with a lot preference should purchase their permits as early as possible. Popular parking lots begin selling out a month before classes begin. There is a $5 fee for each additional vehicle registered to a permit. All permit values are pro-rated throughout the academic year. You can only purchase ONE permit

Commuter Carpooling: $110/year (Statesboro)

Students will be able to share the cost of the permit and the expense of driving to campus. Students enrolled in a carpool are not eligible for any other permit.

On days when multiple vehicles must be driven to campus, one would park in a carpool, and the additional drivers would park at Paulson Stadium and use the transit system to access the center of campus.

Carpools must have two or more members, each contributing at least one vehicle of their own. Groups qualifying for carpool status will be able to purchase one parking permit to share and will be allowed to park in the elected Carpool Parking area on campus. Carpool spaces are available in Lots 21, 32, and 42. Car Pools will be assigned to only one Car Pool area. Permit sales for these spaces will be limited to assure availability.  All members of the Car Pool should enroll online for the opportunity to purchase a permit.

Permit placement shall be on the suspension forks of the front wheel. Motorcycles are not permitted to park in any regular vehicle spaces unless utilizing a time zone (30 min or 1hr).
