Academic building internet access is provided by the campus through IT Services. If you are having trouble connecting to the Internet in academic buildings you can submit a service request to myhelp.georgiasouthern.edu and someone will work to assist you.

I cannot connect to the Internet
I do not know my username and password.

Your username and password to logon to the Residential Network is the same as your My.GeorgiaSouthern.edu username and password. If you do not remember your My.GeorgiaSouthern username and password you will need to contact the main IT Services Helpdesk.

My roommates’ internet works but mine does not.

If your roommates Internet service is working and yours is not, there are a few things you can do so long as your roommate agrees to assist.

  • Have your roommate logon to the network using your computer.
  • Try to logon to the network on your roommates computer.
  • If you are connecting with an Ethernet cable and not through the wireless, try to plug your cable into
    your roommates wall outlet and try to logon.

If none of the above items have resolved your issue, please submit a Work Order and a technician will assist you. Please note any troubleshooting steps you took in the work request as that will expedite the repair.


My Cable TV Service is out.

Effective June 30, 2022, cable television is no longer offered in the individual residence hall spaces. Cable television is available in residence hall common areas. My Phone is not working.

University Housing does not provide phone service.
